Loyola Jesuit Center holds two major fundraising events each year and one annual appeal to help raise additional funds for the continued operations of the house which also includes our Free Will Offering policy where no one is ever turned away, regardless of financial status and our retreats for those combatting homelessness, addiction and those in recovery—our gift to them.
Loyola's Evening in the Gardens is traditionally held in June. The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey has been a recent annual highlight along with spectacular food and camraderie. During this event a 50/50 raffle is drawn whose top prize can be anywhere between $15,000-$25,000, along with 22 other prizes. Tickets go on sale in Spring and are limited to 1,000 tickets. Each ticket costs $100. In 2021, the raffle and garden event which was held in September due to Covid-19, raised over $45,000.
In October each year Loyola Jesuit Center holds the annual Fr. Harvey Haberstroh, S.J. memorial Golf Outing. most recently this golf outing has been held at Spring Brook Country Club, Morristown, NJ. The Golf outing is a wonderful event which honors a long-time Loyola retreatant or benefactor. In 2021, the Golf outing raised over $40,000.00 for Loyola.
