Matthew leads fundraising, development, and communications efforts at Loyola.
Matthew has a diverse background in non-profit and volunteer work with service to organizations such as Special Olympics N.J., Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark, the Salvation Army Morristown Corps, and more. Matthew was also an active volunteer with All Hands Disaster Relief helping with the recovery and rebuilding efforts in Staten Island and New Jersey following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
Matthew is also a dedicated member of the Mount Arlington Fire Department where he serves as a firefighter and vice-president of the department.
Originally from Jersey City, Matthew was a multi-sport athlete in baseball and track at Hudson Catholic High School. Matthew continued his baseball career through college where he attended New Jersey City University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in history. Matthew is a proud father of two (Gemma, 4 and Donovan, 1) and has a rich family history including lineage linked to the founding of New Jersey and Louisiana. Some of his notable relatives include film star Veronica Lake, Senator John Slidell, revolutionary Charles Deslondes, and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Alvin C. York.
