Theme: "Spiritual Surrender"
Spiritual Surrender? Some would consider this (at worst) unattractive or (at best) ambiguous. Our weekend Young Adult Retreat will “put out into the deep” and lead us to see that spiritual surrender is not only a great source of peace and joy, but also the fundamental movement of our life of faith.
The retreat will review and dismiss the typical popular misconceptions of surrender and help us experience the gift of surrender as a loving acceptance of our creaturehood. Then we will focus on the gift of surrender as a choice we make repeatedly no matter what the circumstances are: in suffering, pleasure or joy, or in prayer itself as we make our pilgrim way through this world to God.
“Come and See,” join us for this Young Adult Weekend Retreat (ages 21-35) here at Loyola Jesuit Center in Morristown, New Jersey. There will be presentations for prayer and reflection. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday. As the retreat builds grace upon grace, faith-sharing will take place for those who wish. We look forward to your joining us for this weekend retreat. May God who plants the seed of spiritual longing in us bring it to fulfillment.
