Retreat Leader: Judith Schiavo
This Day of Prayer is being offered on-site and virtually.
(9:00am – 3:00pm) Includes Lunch, Reconciliation and Mass
The Jesuit poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins, wrote the poem, “The Wreck of the Deutschland” in 1876. Toward the end of his narrative, he exclaimed, “Let him easter in us, be a dayspring to the dimness of us…” What does it really mean to allow God to easter in us? You are invited to a day of prayer when we speak about easter not only as a verb but also as an operative word to hone in our daily lives. We may need a resurrection of our ideas and attitudes towards other groups of people; how the two-year reign of COVID has changed our lives; how our experiences have affected who God is for us. We will have time for listening, prayerful reflection, sharing, Sacrament of Penance and Liturgy.
