"With Hands, Head, and Heart: Connections that Shape the Life of Faith" This Day of Prayer is being offered on-site and virtually. (9:00am, registration; 9:30am – 3:00pm) Includes Lunch, Reconciliation and Mass Retreat Leader: Linda Baratte, PhD.
Much to their surprise, medical researchers mapping human genomes in the late 1990's came to a remarkable discovery: the same gene networks controlling the shapes of our hands and our faces are also influencing the health of our hearts. Yet we who are formed by Ignatian spirituality have already known this linkage well. A Christian faith summons us to be active in the world and the works of love, taking on the mind and heart of Christ, bodying forth the joy we share in the Christ-centered life.
Come for a day of prayer as we explore in fresh ways how our faith in God calls us to a three-fold challenge to grow -- with informed 'heads,' with warm hearts, and with loving hands.
As always, our Day of Prayer will include opportunities for personal time spent in meditation and prayer, walking in our beautiful gardens, participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and sharing in a noontime Mass.
