POSTPONED
Level 1 Teaching of Biospiritual Focusing -This is one of the ways to notice and be with the sentir so often spoken of by Ignatius of Loyola. It will be offered on March 12th, 2023 by Sr. Helen Beairsto, r.c. who is a trained facilitator from the Biospiritual Focusing Institute.
What is this?
It is a process that refers to the inclusive awareness of our body in our spiritual life and prayer. It helps us become aware of the felt senses within ourselves and teaches us how to be with them so that God’s grace can touch them. Learning how to be with the felt sense of our daily lives and prayer experiences can help us make peace within ourselves and with the world in us and around us.
What is spiritual about this?
It has the potential to enhance our encounters with our God as we invite God into our felt sense experience where we learn how to wait, listen and let go into newer life, which is a mirroring of the daily living of the paschal mystery and the mini resurrections that we experience. Biospiritual Focusing can teach us the body felt awareness of discernment. For many, this is a way of living the sentir of Ignatius through awareness of how we carry our life experiences bodily.
